Hair styling in Seoul: blow-dry and updo prices, no haircut
11 of the 14 Seoul hair salons on millio price styling apart from a cut: blow-dry from ₩25,000, half updo from ₩45,000, full updo up to ₩220,000. No cut, no color — just the finish, for a concert night, a palace day, or dinner.

A haircut isn't the only thing priced on its own at a Seoul salon. A blow-dry — 드라이 on most menus — is a separate line from a cut or a perm, and so is an updo. You don't need to be getting a cut or color to book either one.
The numbers below come from millio's own listings, checked 2026-10-02. Eleven of the fourteen hair salons currently on millio sell styling as its own service — the ranges are the lowest and highest listed prices across those eleven, not an average.
- 01Yes, you can book just a blow-dry11 of the 14 hair salons on millio list a blow-dry or styling line that's separate from a cut. Listed prices run ₩25,000 to ₩77,000 (one line at De ihee is quoted as a ₩77,000–₩110,000 range), for 30 to 60 minutes. Ask for it on its own — it's a normal line on the menu, not a special request.
- 02An updo costs more, and «half» and «full» are priced differentlyA half updo (some hair pinned up, the rest left down) runs ₩45,000 to ₩154,000 and takes 60 minutes. A full updo runs ₩70,000 to ₩220,000 and takes 60 to 90 minutes. «Full» here means a menu line called Full Updo or simply Updo — anything that isn't Half; wedding-hair lines are left out. The price spread is wide, and part of it is stylist rank, the same way a cut's price rises with rank: both of De ihee's updo lines are Director's lines. Compare the exact menu line, not just the word «updo».
- 03It isn't only a women's lineTwo salons on millio list a men's styling line of their own: Park Jun Beauty Lab Myeongdong has a men's wash-and-style at ₩25,000, and Hearts Dosan a men's blow-dry at ₩55,000 — both 30 minutes. If you want your hair done before an event without a cut, ask for the men's line by name.
- 04Book it the way you'd book a cut — with a photo of the finishmillio's booking form has an optional slot for reference photos either way. For a styling-only booking, one photo of the result does more than words like «natural» or «elegant» — a picture is easier for a stylist to match than an adjective.
- 05It fits a palace day or a concert nightA blow-dry or an updo ahead of a hanbok rental, a K-pop concert, or a fan meeting is an ordinary enough request. Book it for the day itself, as close to the event as your schedule allows, rather than the night before — a style done the evening before often doesn't hold through a day and a change of clothes.
- 06Budget the time, not just the moneyA blow-dry is short — 30 to 60 minutes. A full updo can run 90 minutes — half again as long as the 60-minute cut that's standard on millio's menus. If your morning is tight, build the schedule around the updo, not the blow-dry.
- 07The priciest full updo on millio is more than three times the cheapestAmong lines called Full Updo or simply Updo, the most expensive is ₩220,000 — a Director's Updo at De ihee. The least expensive is ₩70,000 — a Full Updo at Park Jun Beauty Lab Myeongdong. The menu names differ, so ask which stylist is doing it before you assume the price.
