Gel Nail Removal in Seoul: Some Salons Charge Double
Gel nail removal in Seoul runs ₩10,000–30,000 before options on live millio menus, and some salons charge double (₩11,000 vs ₩22,000) when another salon did the gel — picked when you book.

The salon that put the gel on doesn't have to be the one that takes it off, but at some salons the number you pay depends on it.
The figures below are from live menus on millio, checked October 2026 — six Seoul nail salons that list a gel-removal line, two of them splitting the price by where the gel was done.
- 01Gel removal is its own line at 6 of 9 Seoul nail salons — and 2 price another salon's gel separatelySix of the nine Seoul salons on millio whose main business is nails list 젤 오프 / 쏙오프 / 제거 (gel removal) as its own bookable line, not something you ask for once you sit down (checked October 2026). Two of them price it by where the gel was done; the other four show one price, or split it by natural versus extension nails. The base lines run ₩10,000–30,000, before any options.
- 02DAKYO NAIL Seongsu: ₩11,000 for its own gel, ₩22,000 for anyone else'sDAKYO NAIL Seongsu lists 자샵젤제거 (gel removal, own salon) at ₩11,000 and 타샵젤제거 (other salon) at ₩22,000 — both 60 minutes. Only the price doubles.
- 03DAKYO NAIL in Apgujeong reaches the same ₩22,000 with an optionAt DAKYO NAIL in Apgujeong the base 쏙오프 is ₩11,000, and the 타샵쏙오프 option adds another ₩11,000 for gel from another salon — ₩22,000 in total, still 60 minutes. A separate 연장/특수젤 쏙오프 option (+₩11,000) covers extensions and special gels; its name doesn't say which salon did them.
- 04Not every menu splits it by source — some charge one number, some split by nail type5x5 Nail Studio Seongsu lists a single 젤 제거 line at ₩20,000–30,000 for 30 minutes, You Are So Beautiful in Jongno lists 쏙오프 at ₩15,000 for 60 minutes (plus small options for extensions, acrylic or special removal), and Shinggomgom Nail in Gangnam lists GEL OFF at ₩22,000 for 60 minutes. Janie Nail Hannam splits removal by nail type rather than by source — ₩10,000 on natural nails, ₩20,000 on extensions, 30 minutes either way — the same doubling our Korean nail menus guide walks through. None of these four menus splits it by where the gel came from. Don't assume the «other salon» price applies everywhere; check the salon's own menu first.
- 05On the menu, the extra cost is money, not minutesAt both DAKYO NAIL branches the other-salon option adds ₩11,000 and no minutes. On the menu it is the same 60-minute block either way; only the listed price changes. The block itself differs by salon: Janie Nail Hannam and 5x5 list removal at 30 minutes, the other four at 60.
- 06Pick the other-salon line when you book, not in the chairWhere a salon splits the price by where the gel was done, that decides which line you book — 타샵젤제거 at DAKYO NAIL Seongsu, the 타샵쏙오프 option at DAKYO NAIL — so choose it when you send your booking instead of mentioning it after you sit down. Where a menu has no such split, there's nothing to pick by source (at Janie Nail Hannam you pick natural or extension).
