Central Daegu
Dongsan Cheongna Hill
A hill where Christian missionaries lived in the early twentieth century and planted ivy, with old missionary houses and a flight of 90 steps.

Seomun Market
A traditional market on its present site since 1920, named for its place at the western end of Daegu’s old walled town, that began with textiles and now sells goods of nearly every kind.

Kim Gwangseok Road
A mural street beside Bangcheon Market, where statues and murals along a 350-meter wall recall the life and music of the late singer Kim Gwangseok, who lived nearby.

Palgongsan & Dong-gu
Gatbawi Rock
A seated stone Buddha 4 meters tall, high on Palgongsan Mountain, named for the flat stone on its head that looks like a traditional hat.

Donghwasa Temple
A temple on the southern side of Palgongsan Mountain, founded in 493, with a large Buddha statue built in 1992.

A group of 214 ancient tombs on a small hill behind a traditional market, where climbing up opens a view over the city.
