Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date · 2026-10-21
This policy explains how deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for bookings made through millio. Your deposit secures your booking; the remaining balance is paid directly at the place on the day of your visit.
1. Cancellation & refund amounts
Before you pay, nothing is charged. A request you have sent, or a time the place has confirmed but you have not paid for yet, can be withdrawn at any time at no cost — and if you do not pay within the hold period, it is released automatically.
Confirm faster — card hold. If your request is sent with Confirm faster (at places where millio offers it, this is how you send a request), a card hold is placed on your payment method when you send the request. A card hold is not a charge, and nothing is taken from you until the place confirms a time, you accept a different time it suggests, or you agree a different time with millio and millio confirms it. If no time works, the request closes without being confirmed, you cancel before it is confirmed, or the booking will not be confirmed for any other reason, the card hold is released and nothing is charged — a release, not a refund, so nothing is kept. If the attempt to charge the held amount does not go through, we do not charge it; we release the card hold and ask you to pay in the ordinary way, within the hold period on your time slot described above. Once the held amount has been charged, everything below applies exactly as it does to a booking paid in the ordinary way, including what happens to the booking fee. Your bank or card app may keep showing a released card hold as “pending” for a few days.
Express booking (same-day and next-day). An Express booking is sent with a Confirm faster card hold, and the held amount is charged when the place confirms. Once the place has confirmed, an Express booking can't be cancelled and nothing is refunded, including if you do not come — the cutoff and refund amounts below do not apply to it. Before the place confirms, you can withdraw the request at any time and the card hold is released, so nothing is charged. If the place cancels, the rules under “If the place cancels” below apply. This applies to Express bookings sent on or after 2026-10-16.
After you have paid online, one rule applies to every place. When you cancel, the exact refund amount is shown before you confirm.
If you cancel:
- By 17:00 Korea time on the day BEFORE your reserved date — the place's deposit is refunded.
- millio's booking fee is NOT refunded. It pays for arranging your booking, which is already done, and it covers the payment processing charge, which is not returned to us when we refund you. So the amount you get back is less than the amount you paid online. For a place with no deposit, the whole online payment is the booking fee and nothing is refunded.
- After 17:00 Korea time on the day before, or a no-show — no refund.
- For bookings requested under these terms (in effect from 14 October 2026) — once that cutoff has passed, a paid booking can no longer be cancelled. If you cannot come, tell the place from your booking page before your booking time: the booking closes, with no refund, and it is not counted as a no-show. If you do not come without telling the place and the place records it as a no-show, it is recorded as a no-show (Terms of Service, section 4).
- The cutoff is an absolute time, not a countdown: a 10:30 appointment and a 20:00 appointment on Aug 28 share the same cutoff of 17:00 on Aug 27.
- These terms apply to bookings made on or after 25 August 2026. Bookings made before that date keep the terms that applied when you booked (50% of the online payment refunded up to 24 hours before the appointment, nothing after that; for bookings millio makes on your behalf, a full refund until your slot is secured).
If the place cancels, or millio cannot secure your booking:
- The place cancels, or cannot honour a confirmed booking — your deposit is refunded in full, in cash. This is the same for a place that manages its own bookings on millio and for a place millio books on your behalf.
- millio's booking fee is not refunded when the place cancels a booking it has confirmed: arranging the booking was already done. For a place with no deposit, the whole online payment is the booking fee, so nothing is refunded.
- The place cancels before it has confirmed your booking, or millio cannot secure a booking for you at all — 100% of the amount you paid online is refunded in cash.
The non-refundable portion is retained by millio to cover the reserved time slot that was held for you and non-recoverable payment-processing and refund fees. Anything you pay the place in person — the balance for what you booked, a security deposit, or a charge the place makes under its own on-site rules — is not part of this policy, and those terms are set by the place.
2. How to cancel
Open the booking management link in your confirmation email and tap Cancel. The refund amount is shown before you confirm.
For bookings requested under these terms, Cancel is available only until the cutoff in section 1. After that, your booking page shows that cancellation has closed and, until your booking time, lets you tell the place you cannot come.
Lost the link? Request it again at millio.co/find-booking using the email you booked with.
3. How refunds are returned
Refunds go back to your original payment method (PayPal, or the card you paid with). Every refund is checked by a member of the millio team before it is sent, and then, depending on the payment provider and your bank, it typically takes a further 3–10 business days to appear.
Amounts charged in USD are refunded in USD; your card issuer's exchange rate on the refund date may differ slightly from the day you paid.
If you chose credit for your booking fee, it is added to your millio account when we process the refund — there is no bank wait for that part.
4. Changes to your booking
While your request is still waiting for the place, nothing has been charged and you can withdraw it for free at any time from your booking management page (a card hold from Confirm faster is released when you do), then book again with different times. If the place offers alternative times instead, you choose one of them there. Once you have paid and the booking is confirmed, the time can no longer be changed, because the place has already set it aside; cancel instead, and section 1 applies.
If the place cannot accommodate any of the times you offer, we stop asking. If you had already paid, you are refunded in full; if you had not paid yet, nothing was ever charged, and any card hold from Confirm faster is released.
5. Questions
Email support@millio.co and include your booking reference. We reply within 1 business day.
6. Paid trip plans (“Build my trip”)
A plan from “Build my trip” (the planner that the “Plan my trip” button opens) is digital content: it is delivered to you in full the moment you unlock it. Your first plan after signing up is free, so there is nothing to pay or refund. Each new plan after that costs US$4.99 (Terms of Service, section 3).
Before you pay, we show you a preview of the plan, the price and a notice that the payment can’t be refunded once the plan is unlocked, and we ask you to agree to that. Once a paid plan has been unlocked, it can’t be cancelled and the payment is not refunded.
We refund the charge in full, to the payment method you used, if you were charged more than once for the same plan, if you were charged by mistake, or if a plan you paid for can’t be opened because of a fault on our side. Email support@millio.co from the email address of your millio account; the refund is returned as described in section 3.
