What is millio?

millio is a booking service for visitors to South Korea. You book the hair salons, nail salons, skin clinics (non-medical), waxing and lash studios, hanbok rentals and restaurants that locals use — in English, Japanese or Chinese — and millio handles the conversation with the place in Korean.

Do I need a Korean phone number or a Korean app?

No. You need a free millio account, created in one tap with Google or LINE or with an email address. There is no ID check and no app to install; everything works in a normal browser. Viewing or cancelling an existing booking works from the link in your confirmation email without signing in.

How does a booking work?

Pick a place and a service, then send up to three preferred times. The place confirms one of them first; you pay online only after that confirmation and receive a confirmation email. Nothing is charged until a time is confirmed.

How much does it cost?

You pay the place's own price for the service at the place, plus a millio booking fee of ₩9,900 per person, paid online after the place confirms. Some places also ask for a small deposit that is paid online at the same time and deducted from the price at the place. Every price is shown on the place's millio page before you send a request.

How do I pay?

After the place confirms your time, you pay online with PayPal or an international card. The confirmed time is held for you for 1 hour while you complete payment.

Can I cancel? What is refunded?

You can cancel from the link in your confirmation email. If you cancel before 5 PM Korea time on the day before your appointment, any deposit paid to the place is refunded in full; the millio booking fee is not refundable. After that cutoff there is no refund. If the place cancels or cannot confirm a time, you are not charged.

How far ahead should I book?

Dates open from 2 days ahead. Booking 7 or more days ahead is recommended, because good time slots at popular places fill up first.

Will the staff speak English, Japanese or Chinese?

millio handles the booking in your language, and you can attach reference photos, links and notes in advance — millio passes them to the place in Korean. At the place itself, language ability varies, so the notes you send ahead are the most reliable way to get what you want.

Which cities and kinds of places can I book?

Most listed places are in Seoul, with more cities added as places join. Categories today include hair salons, nail salons, skin and esthetic care, waxing, lash and brow studios, hanbok rental, restaurants and eyewear shops. Anything millio does not list yet can be sent in as a custom request through the chat on the site.

Does millio book medical procedures?

No. millio does not book dermatology, plastic surgery or any other medical care. Those must be arranged directly with a licensed clinic.

Can I change the time after booking?

If the place cannot make your times, it proposes alternatives and you accept one from your email — that costs nothing. To move a confirmed appointment yourself, cancel before the cutoff and book again.
