Terms of Service
Effective date · 2026-11-01
Welcome to millio. millio is a booking platform that helps visitors reserve a time at the independent Korean businesses listed on millio — you choose the place and the time, and the place itself, not millio, provides what you booked. millio does not take bookings for medical treatment. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.
1. About millio
millio is operated by Pinomad Corp. and connects you with the independent Korean businesses listed on millio. The place — not millio — provides the actual service. millio is not a medical provider: whatever a place offers, nothing you book through millio is a medical procedure under Korean law, and millio does not arrange care for people travelling to Korea for treatment.
Some places manage their own bookings on millio; for others, millio makes the reservation on your behalf. Your booking page tells you which applies, and it changes what happens if a booking is cancelled (section 4).
Our emails and reminders. Booking emails — such as your confirmation and your review request — may include a short introduction to other millio services, for example our regional trip guides. It is part of that email, carries no prices or deals, and appears once per person in the first confirmation email and once in the first review-request email. We don't send emails whose only purpose is such an introduction without your prior consent. Separately, if you agree, we also email trip news and news of new features now and then — each one marked as an advertisement, sent only to people who agreed and carrying an unsubscribe link; you can turn them off at any time, and your bookings and payments never depend on them. If you choose “Remind me before I go” when you add a regional trip guide's itinerary to your trip, we also send departure reminders — by email, and by notification or LINE if you have turned those on — as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn them off at any time, and your bookings and payments never depend on them.

2. Bookings & deposits
You send a booking request with the times you prefer. For requests sent on or after 2026-10-21, you need to be signed in to a millio account (free to create). Nothing is charged at this point (the card hold under Confirm faster, described below, is not a charge). The place then confirms one of your times, and only then are you asked to pay online — unless your request was sent with a Confirm faster card hold, in which case the amount is charged when the place confirms.
Your time is held for you for 3 hours after the place confirms. If you do not pay within that window, the hold is released and the booking expires.
The booking is confirmed once your online payment succeeds. Your deposit secures the time slot; the remaining balance for what you booked is paid directly at the place on the day.
Confirm faster (card hold). For some places where millio books on your behalf, millio may offer Confirm faster; the booking screen shows it where it is available, and there it is how you send a request — the ordinary request is shown only when a card hold can't be used (for example, if the card hold could not be placed). When you send a request with it and give your approval in PayPal, millio asks PayPal to place a card hold — a pre-authorization, not a charge — on the payment method you choose there, for the amount shown on the screen: the online payment total calculated when you send the request (deposit plus booking fee). No money is taken when the card hold is placed. The sentence directly above the PayPal button tells you, before you approve, that the amount will be charged when the place confirms a time; by giving that approval you agree to that charge. A card hold is not the same thing as the hold on your time described above.
If the place confirms one of the times you offered (where millio books on your behalf, that means once millio has confirmed it with the place), or you accept a different time the place suggests, millio charges the held amount at that moment, with no separate payment step for you, and the booking is confirmed once the charge succeeds. For requests sent on or after 2026-10-21, the same applies if you agree a different time with millio (for example in chat) and millio confirms that time with the place. The charge is in US dollars at the exchange rate fixed when the card hold is placed. For requests sent on or after 2026-10-21, if the place changes its deposit before the booking is confirmed (which changes the booking fee too), millio charges the new amount from your card hold: if it is lower, only the new amount is charged and the rest of the hold is released; if it is higher, millio charges the held amount and emails you a payment link for the difference. The confirmation email shows what was charged.
If none of your times can be confirmed, if the request is not confirmed in time and closes, if you cancel before it is confirmed, or in any other case in which the booking will not be confirmed, millio releases the card hold and nothing is charged. If millio tries to charge the held amount and the charge does not go through, millio does not charge it: it releases the card hold and asks you to pay in the ordinary way, with the payment window described above. Your bank or card app may keep showing a released card hold as “pending” for a few days. millio may stop offering Confirm faster at any time; a card hold already in place is still charged or released as described here.
Once the held amount has been charged, section 4 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy apply exactly as they do to a booking paid in the ordinary way.
Express booking (same-day and next-day bookings). For some places, millio may offer Express booking: a booking for today or tomorrow (Korea time) that you can send only with a Confirm faster card hold. The held amount is charged when the place confirms. Once the place has confirmed, an Express booking can't be cancelled and the amount paid online is not refunded, including if you do not come — the cutoff and refund rules in section 4 do not apply to it. Before the place confirms, you can withdraw the request at any time; the card hold is released and nothing is charged. If the place cancels, the rules in section 4 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy for a place cancelling apply.
3. Prices & payment
The total shown at checkout — the amount you pay online, rather than at the place — is your deposit plus millio's booking fee. Prices are shown in your selected currency where available.
Online payments are processed by PayPal, which also accepts cards. You enter your card or account details with PayPal directly; millio never receives or stores your card number.
Trip plans from “Build my trip” — a paid digital service. “Build my trip” (the planner that the “Plan my trip” button opens) makes a day-by-day plan for your trip from your answers to a few questions. To see a full plan you need a millio account, which is free to create. The first plan you make after signing up is free. Each new plan after that costs US$4.99, paid online through PayPal. The price is shown on the screen before you pay, and nothing is charged unless you choose to unlock a plan. While you have a 30-day millio membership started with a partner's code or link, each new plan opens without payment.
What you get when you unlock a plan: the full plan made from the answers you gave — every day of it, with the places to visit and the places to book that it suggests. A plan made from different answers is a new plan. A plan you have unlocked, free or paid, stays available in your account for as long as your account exists, and so does a plan opened during a membership after the membership ends; if you delete your account, your access to it ends. A plan is a suggestion: opening hours, prices and availability can change, unlocking a plan books nothing, and booking a place works as described in sections 2 to 4, booking fee included.
Before you pay, you see a preview of the plan, and the screen tells you that the payment can’t be refunded once the plan is unlocked; you pay only after agreeing to that. Once a paid plan has been unlocked, the payment is not refunded, because the plan has been delivered to you in full. If you are charged twice for the same plan or charged by mistake, or a plan you paid for can’t be opened because of a fault on our side, we refund the charge in full. Section 6 of the Refund & Cancellation Policy has the details.
4. Cancellations, changes & refunds
You can view and cancel bookings from “My bookings” or from the management link in your confirmation email. Before you have paid, withdrawing a request costs nothing. (If your request was sent with a Confirm faster card hold, the hold is released when you withdraw — see section 2.)
After you have paid online, one rule applies to every place: cancel by 17:00 Korea time on the day before your reserved date and the place's deposit is refunded — millio's booking fee, which covers the payment processing, is not. After that cutoff, and for no-shows, there is no refund.
After the cutoff, and no-shows. For bookings requested under these terms (in effect from 14 October 2026), a booking you have paid for can no longer be cancelled once that cutoff has passed, and there is no refund. If you cannot come, you can tell the place from your booking page until your booking time; the booking then closes, with no refund, and it is not counted as a no-show. If you do not come without telling the place, and the place records your booking as a no-show, it is recorded as a no-show. When you book with any place on millio, that place can see how many such no-shows are recorded for you — only the number (see the Privacy Policy). Bookings requested before these terms took effect can still be cancelled after the cutoff, with no refund.
If a place cancels or cannot honour a booking, or if millio cannot secure a booking for you, your deposit is refunded in full. millio's booking fee is not refunded when a place cancels a booking it has confirmed. The full rules are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Coupons & discounts
Promotional coupons (such as a welcome discount) are personal, single-use, non-transferable, have no cash value, and apply only to eligible bookings while valid.
Partner membership discount. If the millio partner whose code or link started your 30-day membership offers a discount, millio's booking fee is reduced by that percentage on each booking you request while the membership is on. The deposit and the place's own prices are not discounted. The percentage is shown before you start the membership, and the reduced fee is shown before you send a request. A booking keeps its reduced fee after the membership ends. Each account can start one partner membership.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate booking and contact information.
- Arrive on time and follow the place's reasonable rules.
- Tell the place in advance about allergies or sensitivities relevant to what you booked — including food allergies and dietary needs when you book a meal.
7. Service quality & liability
The place is solely responsible for the quality and safety of what it provides. millio facilitates booking and payment but does not provide it.
To the extent permitted by law, millio's liability relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid online through millio for that booking (deposit + booking fee).
8. Changes, governing law & contact
Notice of amendment — booking with a card hold. Posted 2026-10-21; effective 2026-10-21 — the same day. At places where millio books on your behalf and offers Confirm faster, you now send your request with a card hold; the ordinary request is shown only when a card hold can't be used. Section 2 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy also say that if you agree a different time with millio, millio can confirm that time and charge the held amount, and that if the place changes its deposit before confirming, millio charges the new amount from your hold and emails a payment link for anything above it. You also now need to be signed in to a millio account to send a booking request. A card hold is not a charge: it is charged only when a time is confirmed, and released if not. This applies only to requests sent on or after the effective date; what you pay, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules do not change. It does not get the 7 days' notice described above, and we say so openly: it takes effect on the day we post it, because it applies only to requests sent from that day and it removes the payment window in which bookings could expire after the place confirmed.
Notice of amendment — partner memberships. Posted 2026-10-22; effective 2026-11-01. Section 3 now says that while you have a 30-day membership started with a code or link from a millio partner, each new plan in “Build my trip” opens without payment, and that a plan opened during a membership stays available after the membership ends, like any plan you have unlocked. Section 5 now says that if the partner offers a discount, millio's booking fee is reduced by that percentage on bookings you request during the membership (the deposit is not discounted). Nothing else changes. This notice replaces earlier notices of this amendment.
Notice of amendment — Express booking. Posted 2026-10-16; effective 2026-10-16 — the same day. Section 2 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy now describe Express booking, a same-day or next-day booking sent with a card hold: once the place confirms, it is charged and can't be cancelled or refunded; before that, you can withdraw the request and the hold is released. This applies only to Express bookings sent on or after the effective date; nothing changes for any other booking. We also renamed Fast booking to Confirm faster in these terms, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy; only the name changes. It does not get the 7 days' notice described above, and we say so openly: it takes effect on the day we post it, because it only describes a new kind of booking that you choose before you send it.
Notice of amendment — booking fee when a place cancels. Posted 2026-10-15; effective 2026-10-15 — the same day. If a place cancels or cannot honour a booking it has confirmed, your deposit is still refunded in full, in cash, but millio's booking fee is no longer refunded — until now it was refunded in cash or as millio credit. From the day this amendment takes effect, this applies to every booking, including bookings made before it. If the place cancels before confirming your booking, or millio cannot secure it, everything you paid online is still refunded. Section 4 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy now say so. This amendment does not get the 7 days' notice described above, and we say so openly: it takes effect on the day we post it.
Notice of amendment — no-show count. Posted 2026-10-14; effective 2026-10-14 — the same day. The number of no-shows that places you book with can see now also counts visits before 14 October 2026 (section 4 and the Privacy Policy). Nothing else changes. This amendment does not get the 7 days' notice described above, and we say so openly: it takes effect on the day we post it. We did so because no such no-shows were recorded before that date, so no one's number changes.
Notice of amendment — cancelling after the cutoff, and no-shows. Posted 2026-10-14; effective 2026-10-14 — the same day. For bookings requested under these terms, a booking you have paid for can no longer be cancelled once the cutoff has passed (17:00 Korea time on the day before your reserved date). If you cannot come, you can tell the place from your booking page until your booking time. If you do not come without telling the place and the place records it as a no-show, it is recorded as a no-show, and the places you book with can see how many such no-shows are recorded for you — only the number. Section 4, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy now say so. What you pay, the cutoff itself and the refund amounts do not change — after the cutoff there was already no refund. Bookings requested before this amendment keep the current rule: they can still be cancelled after the cutoff, with no refund. This amendment does not get the 7 days' notice described above, and we say so openly: it takes effect on the day we post it. We did so because the new cancellation rule applies only to bookings requested after it takes effect, and the amounts you pay and get back do not change.
Notice of amendment — paid trip plans (“Build my trip”). Posted 2026-10-10, effective 2026-10-10 — the same day. Section 3 now describes plans from “Build my trip” as a paid digital service: you need a millio account to see a full plan, the first plan after signing up is free, and each new plan after that costs US$4.99. Once a paid plan is unlocked it is not refunded, but a duplicate or mistaken charge is; section 6 of the Refund & Cancellation Policy says the same, and the Privacy Policy lists the information involved. Bookings do not change: what you pay, the booking fee, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules for bookings stay as they are. This amendment takes effect on the day we post it, so it does not get the 7 days’ notice we aim for. We did so because a charge happens only when you choose to unlock a new plan after seeing its price and agreeing that it can’t be refunded, and nothing about your bookings depends on it.
Notice of amendment — Fast booking (card hold). Posted 2026-10-09, effective 2026-10-09 — the same day. Section 2 now describes Fast booking, an option millio may offer on some booking requests to places where millio books on your behalf: when you send the request you approve a card hold in PayPal (a pre-authorization, not a charge), and the held amount is charged when the place confirms one of your times. If no time works, the request closes without being confirmed, or you cancel first, the card hold is released and nothing is charged. Sections 2 and 4 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy say what happens in each case, and the Privacy Policy lists the information involved. Fast booking applies only if you choose it yourself when you send a request: a booking or request you have already made, and the ordinary way of requesting a booking, work exactly as before, and what you pay, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules do not change. This amendment takes effect on the day we post it, so it does not get the 7 days' notice we aim for. We did so because it adds a choice that applies only when you pick it, and nothing about a booking or request made any other way depends on it.
Notice of amendment — refunds when a place cancels. Posted 2026-10-04, effective 2026-10-04 — the same day. The Refund & Cancellation Policy now says that if a place cancels a booking you have already paid for, your deposit is refunded in full, in cash, and you choose how to get your booking fee back: in cash, or as millio credit of the same amount. If you don't choose, it is refunded in cash. Credit is available only for bookings made while signed in, is valid for 1 year and can't be withdrawn as cash. What you pay, the cancellation cutoff, and the refund rules for cancellations you make and for bookings millio cannot secure do not change. This amendment takes effect on the day we post it, so it does not get the 7 days' notice we aim for. We did so because it adds a choice and takes nothing away — if you do nothing, you are refunded in cash — so it is not a change to your disadvantage.
Notice of amendment — trip-news emails. Posted 2026-10-04, effective 2026-10-04 — the same day. Section 1 now says that we email news about new millio guides and features only to people who have agreed to receive it, that each such email is marked as an advertisement and carries an unsubscribe link, and that you can turn these emails off at any time. What you pay, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules do not change. This amendment takes effect on the day we post it, so it does not get the 7 days' notice we aim for. We did so because these emails go only to people who have agreed, nobody is signed up for them automatically, you can stop them at any time, and nothing about your bookings or payments depends on them.
Notice of amendment — emails and departure reminders. Posted 2026-10-04, effective 2026-10-04 — the same day. Section 1 now says that booking emails may include a short introduction to other millio services, and that we send departure reminders if you choose to receive them. What you pay, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules do not change. This amendment takes effect on the day we post it, so it does not get the 7 days' notice we aim for. We did so because the reminders start only when you turn them on yourself, you can stop them at any time, and nothing about your bookings or payments depends on them. The short service introduction in booking emails is only one more paragraph in emails we already send: it collects no new information about you and carries no prices or deals.
Notice of change — booking fee. Posted 2026-09-25, effective 2026-10-25. For booking requests sent on or after 25 October 2026 (Korea time), millio's booking fee per person will be ₩9,900 or 10% of the per-person service price (including any add-ons you choose), whichever is higher, plus 4.4% of the deposit — each rounded up to ₩100. If the service price is ₩99,000 per person or less, your fee does not change. For example, with a ₩150,000 service price and a ₩30,000 deposit: ₩16,400 instead of ₩11,300. Requests sent before that date keep the fee shown when you sent them, even if you pay later. The exact fee is always shown before you send a request.
Notice of amendment — effective 2026-09-01. millio now lists Korean businesses beyond beauty (such as hanbok rental and restaurants). Wording that named beauty salons has been replaced with wording that covers any place listed on millio. What you pay, the cancellation cutoff and the refund rules are unchanged, and millio still does not take bookings for medical treatment.
Correction — 2026-09-01. Section 4 still carried a paragraph describing an older refund rule for bookings millio places on your behalf, saying nothing is refunded once we secure your slot. That rule was replaced on 2026-08-25 and the paragraph directly contradicted the sentence above it. One rule applies to every place, and it is the one written there now. Nothing about what you get back has changed today — we removed a sentence that was no longer true.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
