Two million people flew in for Korean skin last year — what they actually booked
Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare counted 2.01 million foreign patients in 2025. Dermatology took 62.9% of them. Before you copy that itinerary, a few of those numbers deserve a closer read.

The figures, released in April 2026: 2.01 million foreign patients from 201 countries, up 71.9% on 2024 and the highest since the government started counting in 2009. Dermatology alone drew 1.31 million of them — 62.9% of the total, growing 86.2% in a single year. Patients and the people travelling with them spent about ₩12.5 trillion.
That is a real boom, and it is also mostly medical care at licensed clinics — 87.7% of use was at clinics rather than hospitals. Which door you walk through matters more than the trend does.
